JAKARTA (RambuEnergy.com) – Two gas projects, Betara complex being developed by PetroChina International Jabung Ltd and Terang Sirasun Batur (TSB) Phase two- being developed by Kangean Energy Indonesia Ltd, are expected to add 220 MMscfd of Indonesia’s gas production this year.
The Head of Program and Communication Division of the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business (SKK Migas) Wisnu Prabawa Taher said the Betara Complex is projected to produce 200 MMscfd, while TSB Phase two is projected to produce 20 MMscfd, Bisnis Indonesia reported.
The two projects are among 13 projects in the upstream business that scheduled to come onstream this year.
In 2018 six upstream oil and gas projects began maiden production, adding 34,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd), with total investment value of US$345 million.
At present, oil and gas companies have submitted 45 plan of development (PoD) of projects. Once approved, these projects could add Indonesia’s oil and gas reserves by 2.8 billion boepd in 2019. (*)
