JAKARTA (RambuEnergy.com) – UK-based oil and gas production said its oil and gas production in the period of January to May 15 reached 11,800 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd), lower than 13.9 boepd in the same period last year.
“Lower Indonesia production against the prior corresponding period also reflects the sale of the Group’s interest in the Kakap PSC in April 2018,” the company said in a statement.
Its oil and gas production is contributed by four operational areas. UK contributed 57,400 boepd, up from 39,000 a year earlier, Vietnam at 12,500 boepd, up from 16,300 boepd and unexpected Pakistan production of 3,400 boepd, compared to 5,400 bopd a year earlier.
As for development activities, the company said it continues to expect first gas from the Bison, Iguana and Gajah-Puteri fields in Indonesia at the end of this year, with the first of the three development wells spudded at Bison earlier this month by the Hakuryu-11 rig.
On exploration, Premier said the 3D seismic acquisition program in the Andaman Sea is on track to complete later this month.
The data will be used to mature the prospects identified on 2D data on Premier’s operated Andaman II licence (Premier, 40% operated), it said. (*)
