Cue Energy says well testing of a well in Sampang PSC completed

JAKARTA ( – Australian oil and gas company Cue Energy Resources Limited (ASX:CUE), through its 100% owned subsidiary Cue Sampang Pty Ltd, said the Drill Stem Testing (DST) of the Paus Biru-1 exploration well within the Sampang PSC in offshore East Java, as announced on Nov. 13, 2018, has been completed.

Preliminary results have been received and Cue is seeking confirmation and approval from the PSC Operator and Indonesian Government for release, the company said.

The well is currently being plugged and abandoned as planned.

Cue Sampang Pte Ltd owns 15% in the Sampang PSC. The remaining shares are held by Santos (Sampang) Pty Ltd (an Ophir Energy Group) 45%, which is also acting as the operator of the block, and Singapore Petroleum Sampang Ltd 40%.

The Paus Biru-1 well is surrounded by the producing gas fields of Peluang, Oyong and Wortel.
