JAJARTA (RambuEnergy.com) – PT Donggi Senoro LNG (DSLNG), a private owned LNG producer in Banggai, Central Sulawesi, has set a target to produce 40 cargoes of LNG in 2017, or equals to 2.2 million tons of LNG.
Director for Corporate Development of DSLNG Aditya Mandala said 31 cargoes of LNG will be absorbed by its long-term buyer from Japan and South Korea, while the remaining 9 cargoes will be sold in the spot market.
He said among the biggest challenge is to sell LNG on the back of low oil price and increased supply of LNG in the market.
In 2016, DSLNG projects to produce 40 cargoes of LNG, higher than the company’s target of 36 cargoes or 2 million tons of LNG.
The higher production was supported by increase supply of gas from JOB Pertamina Tomori Sulawesi and Pertamina EP Matindok and additional supply from Central Processing Plant (CPP) Donggi operated by Pertamina.
The volume of gas supplied to DSLNG has reached 355 MMSCFD, up from 335 MMSCFD targetted earlier.
In 2016, DSLNG only delivered 1 cargoes of LNG to domestic market.
DSLNG plant began operating in June 2015 and shipped its first LNG in August in the same year. In 2015, it produced 11 cargoes of LNG. Therefore, so far, the total LNG that has been produced by DSLNG has reached 51 cargoes. (*)
