JAKARTA (RAMBUENERGY.com) – PT Pertamina Hulu Energi, a subsidiary of state energy copany PT Pertamina (Persero), projected to produce 725 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of gas this year, higher than last year of 678 MMSCFD. In the first half of this year, the company has produced gas at an average of 728 MMSCFD, higher than target, company official said.
“The gas production increase was contributed by Senoro Toli, which has begun producing gas as well as additional gas output from Block NSO/B,” said President Director of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) R Gunung Sardjono early this week.
As for oil price, PHE set production target of 62,613 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) this year, lower than last year’s output at 66,302 BOPD, partly due to lower oil price.
Gunung said PHE will still focus on developing blocks that contribute major production such as PHE Offshore North West Java (ONWJ) and PHE West Madura Offshore (WMO).
The company expects higher gas production contribution from Senoro Toli (Sulawesi), Jambi Merang and Block NSO/B in the next three years. NSO/B block was recently acquired by Pertamina.
At present PHE has 57 subsidiaries, seven joint venture companies and two affiliated companies in domestic and abroad. As many as 21 subsidiaries become operator of oil and gas blocks. (*)
