Indonesia energy minister installs Marzuki Daham as Aceh head of oil and gas body

JAKARTA (rambuenergy.com) – The Indonesian Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Sudirman Said on Monday April 11 installed Marzuki Daham as the Head of newly established Oil and Gas Management Agency of Aceh (BPMA).

The establishment of BPMA was an implementation of the Government Regulation Number 23 of 2015, which stipulates that both central government and Aceh government shall conduct a joint management of oil and gas business activities located in the region.

Aceh Governor Zaini Abdullah also attended the ceremony.

Sudirman Said stated that the appointment of Marzuki has been based on tight selection process.

With the establishment of BPMA and its organizational structure all production sharing contracts (PSCs) in the Aceh region will be handed over from SKK Migas, Indonesia’s special task force for upstream oil and gas, to BPMA.

Sudirman asked the newly appointed head of BPMA to coordinate with SKK Migas well in running the office. (*)
