Indonesia government to harmonize oil-gas and maritime regulations this year

JAKARTA (rambuenergy.com) – The Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs is currently coordinating with other related ministries and departments to harmonize regulations on maritime and oil and gas industries with a target to complete by year-end.

The harmonization of regulation is one of conclusion of a meeting held by the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs held in Nongsa, Batam on Thursday.

The harmonization of regulations cover issues related with oil and gas, maritime, local content, committee to strengthen maritime industry, maritime industrial zone and oil and gas industrial zone.

Deputy Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Ridwan Djamaluddin said the ministry will set up a team, whose members will come from related departments and industry players. The team’s main duty will be to prepare a harmonization roadmap.

The Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs oversees other ministries, namely Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry, Transportation Ministry, Tourism Ministry and Ministry of Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries. (*)
