BP Berau launches prequalification process for Tangguh aviation services

JAKARTA (rambuenergy.com) – BP Berau Ltd, the operator of Tangguh LNG project in West Papua, has launched prequalification process for the procurement of one Fixed Wing and one Rotary Wing Aviation Services to support the company’s Tangguh LNG project development in West Papua.

The scope of the works will cover air transportation as well as ground-handling service, 24/7 hours of mecical evacuation, personnel and other supporting facilities.

The aviation services will support intra Papua air transport as well as nearby locations, namely Ambon, Biak, Sorong, Manokwari and Tangguh LNG site. The rotary wing aircraft will also be given task for medical evacuation to Makassar, Manado, Sorong, Timika, when necessary.

The company sets key dates as follows:

–          Registration: Jan. 19-23, 2015

–          Obtaining pre-qualification document: Jan 19-23, 2015

–          Submission of pre-qualification document: Feb. 10, 2015

–          Obtaining procurement document: May 6, 2015

The company said only qualified participants will be invited to take part in the tender, the details of which is yet to be determined.

BP Berau is now developing the third LNG train (Train 3). (*)
