AKARTA (Rambu Energy) – President Joko Widodo on Thursday afternoon (Nov. 27) installed Franky Sibarani, deputy head of Indonesian Employers Association (Apindo), as new head of the Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), replacing Mahendra Siregar.
The President installed Sibarani, who is also Sibarani was also a secretary general of Indonesian Food and Beverage Association (GAPMMI), upon arrival from a visit to Sumatera Island.
Cabinet Secretary Andi Widjojanto said the President appointed Sibarani as BKPM chairman given his background as an experienced businessman.
On the same occasion, the President also installed Nusron Wahid as head of the Agency for the Placement and Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (BNP2TKI). Wahid is currently a lawmaker of Golkar party. (*)
