JAKARTA (Rambu Energy) – President Joko Widodo is reportedly to have appointed Franky Sibarani, deputy head of Indonesian Employers Association (Apindo), as new head of the Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), replacing Mahendra Siregar.
Kompas daily cited unnamed sources that Sibarani, who is also secretary general of the Indonesian Food and Beverage Association (GAPMMI), will be installed as a new BKPM chairman later this afternoon.
Over the past few days, a number of national media that Siregar has been tipped as a new BKPM board, a key position that will support the Joko Widodo government to boost domestic and foreign investment.
In addition, the paper also reported that Nusron Wahid as head of the Agency for the Placement and Protection of Indonesian MigrantWorkers (BNP2TKI). Wahid is currently a lawmaker of Golkar party. (*)
