JAKARTA (Rambu Energy) – The Indonesian Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) said its auction to develop gas pipeline network in five cities, including Semarang in Central Java, Prabumulih in South Sumatera, Pasuruan in East Java and Jambi in Sumatera is expected to complete in next four months.
Umi Asngandah, director for natual gas of BPH Migas, was quoted by Kontan daily as saying that the winner of the auction for each city gas pipeline project will be announced in June. Currently, BPH Migas is conducting commercial and technical aspects of the participants.
“They (winners) can only start developing the pipeline after four months. They have to show technical study of the project. Those who can show more efficient will be selected,” Umi said.
Umi said the key parameter in winning the auction is that the auction participant must have clear gas supplier and off-taker. The other paramater is the companies experiences and performance. (*)
