Petronas, Repsol team up to develop Sakakemang Block in South Sumatera

JAKARTA (RambuEnergy.com) – Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas), through its subsidiary PC Sakakembang B.V. dan Repsol through its unit Talisman Sakakemang B.V, have signed a joint operating agreement to develop Sakakemang Working Area in South Sumatera, Indonesia.

“Petronas will continue to play its active role in the long-term development of oil industry in Indonesia,” said President Director of Petronas Carigali Indonesia Mohd Nazlee Rasol in a statement.

The agreement was a follow-up of an agreement by both parties in the Repsol office in Jakarta on Dec. 5, 2018, which was attended by the representatives of both companies.

Nazlee Rasol represented Petronas and Repsol was represented by its Senior Manager for Exploration and Opco David Ramos. Meanwhile, Deputy President Director and General Manager of Repsol Francisco Gea Pascual del Riquelme and Senior Manager for Exploration of Petronas Carigali Indonesia Jamin Jamil Mohd Idris witnessed the signing agreement.

Sakakemang PSC is operated by Repsol. The participating interests are as follows:
– Repsol: 45%
– Petronas: 45%
– Mitsui Oil Exploration Co. Ltd (MOECO): 10%.
