JAKARTA (RambuEnergy.com) — PT Sumberdaya Sewatama have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with PT Siemens Indonesia for joint strategic partnership in Digital Energy Services.
Sewatama said in a statement that the two companies have agreed to join forces to create new business operations in Power Industry as a frontrunner of shaping digital transformation in Indonesia.
PT Sumberdaya Sewatama, which has over 25 years of experience in operating power generation units with more than 1,000 MW capacity scattered all around Indonesia, has 4 lines of businesses namely Power Rental, Operation & Maintenance, Energy Efficiency Services, and Independent Power Producer.
PT Siemens Indonesia, on the other hand, has the capability in the field of electrification and digitalization, while Sumberdaya Sewatama has competency and experience of providing power solution in the country.
Given both parties respective competence, the two parties aim to create value in the whole process of energy-as-a-service especially in the field of power generation, operation and maintenance, and energy efficiency, Sewatama said.
Through this partnership, PT Siemens Indonesia commits to act as a technology partner for shaping digital transformation in Indonesia and empowering local power industry to become a digital enterprise.
Making digitalization happened is one of PT Siemens Indonesia’ priorities and aligns with Indonesia Government under the Ministry of Industry “Making Indonesia 4.0” roadmap which is keen to accelerate the development of Digital Enterprise.
PT Siemens Indonesia emerges to support Indonesian government initiatives by tackle the lack of local digital infrastructure and limitation access to technology which appeared to be a big hurdle in Indonesia.

Joint Pilot Project
The partnership starts through a Joint Pilot Project using PT Siemens Indonesia’ technology and portfolio of PT Sumberdaya Sewatama’s power generation in Indonesia by enabling connectivity between physical infrastructure and digital world to run data-driven services leading to optimized processes, resource and productivity gains, the development of new business models and the reduction of operations and maintenance costs.
