JAKARTA (RambuEnergy.com) – Lion Air flight JT610, flying from Jakarta to Pangkalpinang town in Bangka Belitung province WITH 188 on board, was reportedly to have fallen in north coast of Jakarta.
The aircraft took off from the Soekarno-Hatta Airport at 06.20 WIT, but then lost contact at around 06.33. The Flightradar24 data shows the aircraft lost contact at the northern coastal area of Jakarta.
Spokesperson of Lion Air Danang told Kompas TV that it was true that the Lion Air JT610 has lost contact and that the airline operator is still searching more information about the aircraft.
Meanwhile, National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) spokesperson Yusuf Latif told detik.com that it has received confirmed report that the airline has crashed in around Karawang area, West Java. “It is A1 information (confirmed crashed),” Latif said.
Basarnas has immediately sent 3 vessels and one helichopter to search and rescue should there be any passengers alive. (*)
