JAKARTA (RambuEnergy.com) – State-owned electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) invites interested parties to cooperate with the company develop geothermal projects in the country.
In a published invitation, PLN, as mandated by the Indonesian government, will develop a number of geothermal steam field and power plants of more than 5 MWs in several locations.
The program is an effort by the government to accelerate the development of geothermal in the country. PLN, as a utility company, has the commitment to develop its geothermal working areas of up to 1,000 WM assigned by the government.
Interested parties are required to register as partners (Daftar penyedia terseleksi/DPT).
Interested parties can be an Indonesian or foreign company which has diplomatic relation with Indonesia. The foreign company shall engage a ‘reputable local company’ as a member of the consortium.
In order to qualify, the interested parties must have experience in geothermal resources study with a minimum capacity of 10 MW; well drilling and testing on oil, gas, or geothermal project, managing geothermal reservoir with a minimum capacity of 10 MW; and preferably has experience in EPC of geothermal power plant with minimum capacity of 10 MW as well as operating and maintaining geothermal power plant with a minimum capacity of 10 MW.
PLN said the interested parties shall fulfil financial requirement as set forth in the pre-qualification document and submit to PLN (PQ document) on April 23-27, 2018, by showing Geothermal Certificate of Registration from the Directorate General of New, Renewable and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) at the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry.
