JAKARTA (RambuEnergy.com) – At least seven major upstream oil and gas projects are scheduled to come onstream in 2018, including the Lica production facility of Medco E&P Indonesia, Block A Gas Field Development of Medco as well as SP gas field by Pertamina Hulu Energy ONWJ, the Special Task Force For Upstream Oil and Gas Business (SKK Migas) at the Energy and Mineral Resouces Ministry, said Wednesday.
Deputy Head of SKK Migas for Procurement Control, Djoko Siswanto said the seven projects’ production levels are relatively small-to-medium size.
The other projects expected to come on stream are:
– CPS Modification project of PetroChina International Jabung Ltd with capacity of 30 MMSCFD, – Ario-Dama Sriwijaya Phase 2 by Tropik Energi Pandan with capacity of 20 MMSCFD,
– The transportation of gas project from Temelat to Mount Kembang Stasiun by Medco E&P Indonesia with capacity of 13 MMSCFD,
– the development of Subsea Pipeline Gas Lift BW Field Poleng by Pertamina EP with a capacity of 700 bopd.
He said the energy ministry targets to produce 2 million barrels of oil equivalent in 2018, consisting of 800 bopd and gas 1.2 million barrels of oil equivalent per day.
The government is optimistic that the gas production can be attained thanks to the Jangkrik gas field which has commenced gas production of 600 MMSCFD or equivalent to 100,000 bopd. (*)
