JAKARTA (Rambu Energy) – PT PGN LNG Indonesia, a subsidiary of gas distributor PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN), said Tuesday that its Floating Storage and Regasification (FSRU) Lampung will receive second LNG cargo delivery from Tangguh LNG plant in West Papua on Oct. 26 and the third one on Nov 22, 2014. The first LNG cargo was delivered at end of July2014.
PGN LNG said in a statement that the second LNG cargo will be shipped from Tangguh LNG plant on Oct 20 and is scheduled to arrive in one week. “The delivery of the two LNG cargoes is now only pending on the administration process at the SKK Migas (Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas activities) and the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry,” PGN’s Corporate Secretary Heri Yusuf said.
FSRU Lampung is currently under commission stage. The first LNG cargo was likely to have been used during the commission process.
Earlier, PGN said Hoegh LNG is currently repairing certain parts of the FSRU, a common process during commission process.
The LNG will be re-gasified at the FSRU Lampung before it is delivered to customers , including state utility company PT PLN.
PGN’s FSRU Lampung has a re-gasification capacity of a maximum of 240 million standard cubic per day (MMSCFD). PGN rented the FSRU from PT OEGH LNG Lampung, a subsidiary of Hoegh LNG of Norway. (*)
